It's almost time for the one day a year that everyone gets to be Irish, as Baltimore becomes bathed in emerald green for St. Patrick's Day this March. As always, there will be plenty of great St. Patrick's Day events to look forward to near Baltimore homes for sale, including the highly anticipated Baltimore St. Patrick Parade and the many other events surrounding it. Baltimore St. Patrick Parade – 699 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201
The annual Baltimore St. Patrick Parade is at the center of the city's wonderful St. Patrick's Day celebrations, with a route that begins at the Washington Monument and winds its way to the Inner Harbor. With thousands of participants, dazzling floats, and traditional Irish entertainment, the St. Patrick's Parade is a spectacle you won't want to miss. Since the next event on our list uses the same route and starts an hour earlier, you might want to arrive early to get the best spectating spots along the parade route. The Baltimore St. Patrick Parade kicks off at 2:00 p.m. on March 10.
Shamrock 5K Race – Charles & Mulberry Streets, Baltimore, MD 21201
Just before the St. Patrick Parade takes place, you can participate in the annual Shamrock 5K Race, which starts at Charles and Mulberry streets and travels along the same route as the parade. The race takes place March 10 at 1 p.m., so you might want to consider heading out for the parade early, even if you're not participating in the 5K. Those participating in the Shamrock 5K Race can look forward to a fun, festive run, perfect for fitting in some fitness before the St. Patrick's Day celebrations. After the race, head to Power Plant Live! for a post-race celebration featuring delicious food, drinks, and live music.
Sunday Funday St. Paddy's Day Brunch – 2744 Lighthouse Pt. E, Baltimore, MD 21224
Looking for the perfect way to kick off your St. Patrick's Day celebrations? The Sunday Funday St. Paddy's Day Brunch at Schola promises great food and even better memories, with a menu highlighting the Emerald Isle's flavors. The menu includes Irish soda bread scones, smoked salmon, Guinness braised beef, stuffed pancakes, a make-your-own-scramble station, and a bloody mary bar. Savor the flavors of Irish cuisine, and perhaps pick up a few tips for creating your own delicious meals at home. This event takes place March 17, starting at 11:30 a.m.
St. Patrick's Weekend at the Pariah – 1680 Union Ave., Baltimore, MD 21211
Of course, some of Baltimore's best craft breweries will also host events, including the popular St. Patrick's Weekend at the Pariah celebration. There will be live music from a fantastic Irish trio, discounts on drinks for anyone wearing green, plenty of fun surprises, and a special menu of Irish cuisine from Cocina & Pariah. If you've never tried Corned Beef Tacos or Stout Short Rib Tamales, you're in for a treat. There's no admission cost to attend St. Patrick's Weekend at the Pariah, and you can enjoy it throughout the big weekend from March 15–17.
