Dates for this year's festival have not been finalized due to uncertainty about when the flowers will be ready, but the field's proprietors make sure to post regular updates on their Facebook page. The Maple Lawn Farms Farm Market and Orchards is holding their 5th Annual Sunflower Fest this August. The event begins with the Early Bloomers Weekend on August 6 to 8, offering a chance to get out and see the flowers before the crowds come. Tickets for this event are sold at a slight discount and include a wagon ride and one sunflower from the fields.
The festival kicks off in earnest the two following weekends (August 13 to 15 and August 20 to field during this time, you'll be able to enjoy live music during your visit and grab a snack from one of the food vendors parked on the farm's grounds. Adult guests can also enjoy sipping a selection of artisan wines from the farm's on-site winery.

Your children can get to know the farm's barnyard animals or enjoy some of the many kid-friendly amenities on-site, including slides, pedal carts, and a corn maze. Their gorgeous sunflower field spans an impressive 10 acres and features pink, orange, red, and burgundy sunflower varieties alongside the traditional yellow blossoms. Each variety is planted at a different time to ensure that one of the many is always in bloom.
Each guest receives one flower with admission, and you can roam the fields and take pictures for as long as you want. If you'd like to take home some additional flowers, you can purchase them for just $1 apiece or pay $10 for a bouquet of 15.
