Let's be honest Baltimore – you deserve a drink! Thankfully, National Beer Lover's Day is right around the corner. On Monday, September 7th, it's time to raise a class to the one brew that has stood the test of time. Believe it or not, the process of brewing beer may be older than recorded history itself. Today, we're lucky to have so many crisp, cool, and downright crazy varieties of beer to quench our thirst. If you're a beer lover, our real estate agents know you'll enjoy celebrating National Beer Lover's Day at one of these Baltimore beer taps.
- Oliver Brewing Company – 4216 Shannon Dr., Baltimore, MD 21213
While it seems everybody these days is brewing their own beer, Oliver Brewing Company has been doing it for nearly 30 years. As one of the original craft brewers in Baltimore, Oliver Brewing continually pushes the boundaries on beer taste. You could order a standard Mexican style lager like the I Wish I Was In Mexico, but we suggest sampling a unique offering like the Chesapeake Orange Crush Cider or the S'more Or Less stout that will make you wish summer never ended.
- Nepenthe Brewing Company – 3626 Falls Rd., Baltimore, MD 21211
Voted the Best Brewery in the Best of Baltimore 2019, Nepenthe Brewing Company has earned its many city-wide awards for their tasty brews. Pop into their taproom and check out their rotating draft menu. The Beebweepa IPA is a great mix of citrus and wheat, while the Hammock Kolsch is the perfect crisp beer to quench your thirst. From the Razzpizzazz sour IPA to the Aphotic Ruin dark chocolate hazelnut imperial stout, there's a creative craft on tap for every beer connoisseur.
- Monument City Brewing Company – 1 N. Haven St., Baltimore, MD 21224
Monument City Brewing Company takes pride in their Baltimore community. They've repurposed wooded mash tanks originally belonging to the Melville Distillery from a century ago and use them to make their iconic three-sided tap handles, giving you a true taste of Baltimore with every pour. MCBC's three most popular brews are the Penchant Pils, 51 Rye, and American Brown Ale, but we prefer their seasonal White Marble Wit, 6 String IPA, and Bulls-Eye milk stout. Drive in for a sample and find many of their cans available at your local grocery store.
- Mobtown Brewing Company – 4015 Foster Ave. #400, Baltimore, MD 21224
Mobtown Brewing Company is bringing the historic tradition of Baltimore's brewing past back to the city…only this time, they're breaking the rules to create new flavors for Charm City. You can order a Priceless Advice via a sour gose or wonder When Will Then Be Now? with a Schwarzbier. Of course, a Witte Bloem or The Stalk Market farmhouse ales will keep you content round after round, too.
- Checkerspot Brewing Company – 1399 S. Sharp St., Baltimore, MD 21230
Checkerspot Brewing Company believes that beer brings people together which is why they invite you to bring your old friends and make new ones in their taproom. Order up a SnakeBite which is a pressed apple cider pale ale or try out the Stonefruit which is a kettle sour brewed with 100 percent local ingredients. For a historical taste of the city, order the Modern Fitzgerald, which is a recreation of the first-ever beer brewed by legendary Baltimore brewer John Fitzgerald at the end of Prohibition. No matter which you choose, you'll be drinking among friends at Checkerspot.
