Joe Gold and Dominic Cantalupo, Baltimore Beer Week founders, joined forces in 2008 to promote and highlight "all things beer" in Baltimore. Their goal was to bring an awareness and appreciation for the city's local craft beer industry. What Is Baltimore Beer WeekBaltimore Beer Week is a week-long event acknowledging the city's unique beer culture. For the past six years, Baltimore has celebrated the local craft beer industry that has made it famous. With a goal of bringing together beer enthusiasts and local beer-related businesses, Baltimore has gone beer berserk. Whether it is the Annual Kickoff Luncheon, Kick Our Kegs or Pints & Pancakes, you will soon understand what it takes to craft legendary Baltimore beers.
Beer Week 2014 takes place Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 19. The first event of the week is a kickoff luncheon hosted by B'More Beers at the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore. This will take place on Friday, October 10 starting at noon. The Opening Tap Celebration with Das Best Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 11 At Rash Field – Inner Harbor, 610 Light Street, Baltimore, Maryland.
Throughout the week, local alehouses and breweries will host special events. Included are Mahaffey's Pub Kick Our Kegs, Tri-State Tap Takeover, and even a beer dinner pairing beers from Jailbreak Brewing in Laurel, Maryland and dinner from Maggianos in Columbia, Maryland.
