The Christmas season is an exciting time in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Gettysburg's holiday season begins with the Annual Gettysburg Christmas Parade and continues with concerts, shopping, holiday displays and decorations, and open houses throughout its New Year's Eve celebration in Lincoln Square.
Whether you are ringing in the holidays with Christmas performances at the Majestic Theater or crossing names off your shopping list at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg, the city attracts visitors young and old.

Candlelight Christmas Tours at the Shriver House Museum is a history lesson and Christmas display wrapped into one. See how Christmas was celebrated in the 1800s while loved ones fought during the Civil War. Saturdays through December 21, 2013.
An Eisenhower Christmas is a tour of the home and farm of President and Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhower. Mrs. Eisenhower was well known for her love of the holidays. Tour the Eisenhower home re-created with Christmas decorations reminiscent of the 1950s. This is an annual event sponsored by the Eisenhower National Historic Site occurring now through December 31, 2013.
Holiday Wreaths at the Soldier's National Cemetery – 500 wreaths will be placed on gravesites in the Soldier's National Cemetery at Gettysburg National Military Park. Friday, December 6, 2013
A Rocky Mountain Christmas at the Majestic Theater pays tribute to folk artist, John Denver, with a blend of traditional Christmas favorites along with John Denver's songs of the season.

The Inns of Gettysburg Area Holiday House Tour commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. This year's tour includes 12 Gettysburg homes, building, and inns decorated for the season. Saturday, December 14, noon to 5 PM.
Celebrate New Year's Eve in downtown Gettysburg's Lincoln Square with music, free entertainment for the entire family activities for the children, and a fireworks display at midnight sponsored by the Adams County Arts Council in partnership with the Borough of Gettysburg, ACNB Bank, Gettysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1562.
