It's that time of year again to celebrate Lancaster County's agriculture, civic organizations, and local businesses at the Elizabethtown Fair! Beginning August 22nd this free event will offer various exhibits featuring animals, agriculture, competitive, and commercial exhibits.  The Etown Fair is the perfect place for people of all ages to get together with family and friends for a safe, fun, and exciting experience. The fair offers a petting zoo, entertainment, contests for all ages, rides, delicious food, and a fireworks display on the last night. Every day of the fair offers new activities to enjoy.


Monday: Let your kids cool off at the children's water balloon toss. At night listen to the sounds of The Fabulous Heartbreak, a tribute to Patsy Cline and Elvis.


Tuesday: Support your favorite local talents at the Talent Show with Dana and Galla


Wednesday: Let your children test their steadiness at the Egg and Spoon Race. Later get down with the Uptown Band.


Thursday: Take a couple minutes (or hours) to pet the some of the fluffiest farm animals at the Angorapalooza petting zoo.


Friday: Listen to the local country band Laredo and then catch Ashley Fletcher's Equine Show.


Saturday: You are getting sleepy, very sleepy…don't miss your chance to witness real hypnosis with Mike Bishop, Comedy Hypnotist.

Elizabethtown PA Ribs & Riffs FestivalElizabethtown, PA is known for its quaint Main Street that is home to a variety of shops, museums, art galleries, and restaurants. Many of the downtown buildings that give the city its charm and defines its history are original 19th and 20th century historic architectural structures.

Elizabethtown is also a city where local business organizations and residents work to keep their community alive and beautiful.  One such organization is the Market Street Improving Business (MSIB) group.

Market Street Improving Business

Market Street Improving Business (MSIB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the sustainability of the Elizabethtown, PA downtown area and its surrounding community. The group was formed by five local business owners who came together to keep the business district, center square, and main street thriving and self-sustaining. 

The orgnaization's main objectives are to revitalize and stabilize local businesses, educate local residents about the value of shopping locally, beautification projects around town, and opening channels of communication between the many groups, organizations, and businesses of Elizabethtown.

MSIB hosts several Elizabethtown events to bring the community to its downtown including E-Town 2nd Fridays, Elizabethtown's Arti Walk, 1st Annual Beans and Brew, Wine Walk, and the 1st Annual Ribs and Riffs Music Festival.  All funds raised or donated to MSIB are put directly into activities and improvements in the area.

Ribs & Riffs Music Festival

In what is certainly going to be one of the highlights of the summer, the first annual Ribs & Riffs Music Festival will be held Sunday, July 13th from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Ribs will be provided by Lucky Ducks Bar and Grille and the riffs will be provided by:

  • Little Heartbreakers. Start the afternoon off with the fresh pop sounds from this duo from Enola, PA.
  • Jason Gray Band. Liven up the afternoon with folk sounds from Lancaster, PA
  • Juan Catorce Band. Heat things up with the original pop sounds from this group based in Lancaster, PA.
  • Silver City Rodeo. With seven members playing instruments from steel guitar to the violin, the Americana sound of this Lancaster County band will get everyone on their feet.
  • The Octavia Blues Band. The evening will close with the powerful vocals and harmonica sounds from Octavia backed by her three-man band to create their unique "blues-roots" sound.

The festival will be held behind E-Town Rita's, located at 30 N. Market Street. Tents will be provided for shade and everyone is encouraged to bring their own chair to relax. Additional food vendors are expected to participate and will be announced as the event gets closer.
