Reading a map is something everyone who owns a bike or a pair of feet should be able to do. And since the final week in May is officially Map Reading Week, we thought we'd take the opportunity to share some parks and trails in Pennsylvania Dutch Country where you can put your skills to good use. 

  • Conewago Recreation Trail - 2385 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022
    Utilizing the former Cornwall-Lebanon rail line's path, the Conewago Recreation Trail is a beautiful 5-mile trek near the border of Lancaster and Lebanon counties. It's a level, well-graded and easy-to-follow path through shady woods and expansive meadowlands, with frequent views of  Conewago Creek. The trail is open to hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing, and it's located a stone's throw from many Elizabethtown homes for sale. Keep your eyes open for blooming wildflowers if you hike it in spring.
