The county seat of Cumberland County, Carlisle is strategically located at the intersection of two major federal Interstate highways, Interstate 76 and Interstate 81. This crossroad makes Carlisle a desirable location for major corporations, including Giant Eagle Supermarket headquarters, Carlisle Tire and Rubber Company, Masland Carpets and Frog Switch Manufacturing.
